Take advantage of creative moments, they don't always linger. When you have a sporadic notion to write lyrics or music, or hear chords in your head that sound original, JOT THEM DOWN or record them on a small recorder, or chances are they will escape you. I have found that quiet times (sleeping, relaxing, etc.) when my mind is not saturated with "junk mail" are when my creative side goes into overdrive. Getting out of bed at 1:00 am to write down an idea is not unheard of...it's a price to pay for achievement, but nothing worthwhile comes without a little sacrifice! Rhonda Price

This is great advice! I heard a story the other day from Steve here at Encore about the guy who wrote the theme to the new Batman Begins movie. He was in a plane when he came up with it and had to run to the bathroom with his mini recorder and hum it so that he wouldn't forget it. Inspiration is one thing I wish I had more of!
