Digitech Vocalist Live Pro Review 6 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 3

I got one of these recently and I really like it! It's a Digitech Vocalist Live Pro. It is mainly titled as a harmonizer, but to be honest, that's not the main function that I bought it for. Unlike the Vocalist 2 and the Vocalist 4 this thing hinges on top level effects processing. It has a Soundcraft PreAmp that sounds pretty good and the renown Lexicon Licensed Reverbs and Delays. This unit also has pitch correction. So you have everything from Compressors and De-Essers to EQ and Modulation.

The sweetest thing about how this unit is built is that you don't have to tell it what key you're singing in. You can connect a guitar or a midi keyboard to it and the unit will determine what notes or chords your playing and automatically pitch correct your vocals and harmonies.

You can tweak the Vocalist Live Pro so that it uses all the effects, pitch correction, and harmonies or you can just use a few of the effects. It is real-time processing though, so you won't need to record first and process later.

And if you're bored, you can also change the pitch of what your singing to make it really low or really high or give yourself a robot voice. It's great and definitely worth the money!
